133 Queen Street East Condos is a new condo development, currently in preconstruction at 133 Queen Street East, Toronto.
A new mixed-use high-rise condominium is making its way to Queen Street E. This proposed condominium will sit on the south-west corner of Queen Street and Jarvis Street. This hood is considered to be a cultural heritage that holds some of Toronto’s rich history.
This tower has a contemporary architectural design and features a glass facade with wrap around balconies, sharp lines on the west side of the tower and soft curves on the east side.
This new development will reach up to 41-storeys high and will have a total of 440 units.
These units are expected to house
263 one-bedroom units with an average size of 540 square-feet
133 of the two-bedroom units will have an average size of 750 square-feet
3 bedroom units will have an average size of 1,025 square-feet
The podium will reach the twelfth floor, in that podium the first two floors are reserved for retail and office space, while the third to eleventh floor will contain residential suites.
The residential suites on these floors will mimic the style of a glasshouse loft. The twelfth floor will be reserved for indoor and outdoor amenities. The condominiums in this area usually have a wide range of amenities such as pools, fitness centres, outdoor terraces, barbecue stations and private party rooms, we can expect the same range of amenities with this project.
A key feature of this high-rise that is unlike any other in the city are the art installations that will be placed on the columns underneath the podium. These installations were developed by NAK Design Group and were inspired by cast iron ornamental fences that once embellished the city. These installations will form a series of metal domes, varying in size and height. The idea is to create beautiful, intricate patterns that will decorate the exterior of the building and protect the pedestrian realm.
