271 Cornwall Road Condos is a new mixed-use condominium development by First Capital, in Oakville.
These two towers will be transforming part of Oakville with 292 luxury units joined by an elegant glass bridge. The condo will also consist of retail and commercial space to keep in line with the location’s adjacent shops and services.
271 Cornwall Road Condos is proposed to join an already immersive site, with a two-tower mixed-use condominium. Building A will be 19 storeys with 164 units and 1,965 square-metres of retail and Building B will be a little shorter at 14 storeys, containing 128 residential units and 2,100 square-metres of retail space.
Both towers will rise from a two-storey podium, then step back to their respective heights. The non-residential area is expected to house more shops or restaurants to follow suit with the plaza at grade.
The proposal is expected to feature beautiful units in one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom layouts. The towers will also feature three levels of underground parking provided below the building, which consists of 862 parking spaces and 102 bicycle parking spaces; long term bicycle parking is located at grade level with a direct connection to both an exterior pathway and the lobbies.
There will be two amenity terraces for each tower located on the third floor. These terraces will encircle the entire tower and sit next to green roofs. We can expect these spaces to include world-class fitness centres accessible to its residents. Additionally, there will be a new pedestrian pathway along Trafalgar Road that will allow residents and pedestrians to access the retail uses. This path will also connect people to the central court, allowing access to the full-service lobbies of both towers.
The preeminent exterior of the development will stand out with its mix of glass, brick, precast and metal detailing that creates a modern aesthetic. The project will enhance the existing streetscape while reinforcing existing edges along Trafalgar and Cornwall. There will be many trees and shrubs added around the towers to further improve visuals and the quality of living. The massing stepping down to the south provides an appropriate transition to the existing residential neighbourhood to the south.
